Important Update to Payment Reports Starting March 4th

Hi Drivers,

 

The TLC created the Taxi Improvement Fund (TIF) to support medallion owners and drivers who are putting accessible vehicles on the road.

 

Fleet owners were previously contributing to this fund separately. To streamline this payment process for both drivers and fleets, Curb will be collecting $1 from every ride to go towards this fund as mandated by the TLC and effective March 4th, 2023. 

 

Important Details: 

  • Curb will collect the $1 fee per trip.
  • It applies to green and yellow taxis only – not Black Car and Livery vehicles
  • Similar to airport and congestion fees, this surcharge will be automatically deducted and appear on your payment report under “Improvement Surch. for Cash and Card paid rides.”
